The beach of Eraclea Minoa is one of the most beautiful places of Sicily and southern Italy, laying between the river Platani and the promontory of Capo Bianco.
The beach stretches for about 6 kilometers in a breathtaking setting: the fine white sand is lapped by a sea of extreme beauty, clean and fresh and lush with marine life. Behind it, a thick pine forest accompanies the coast for its entire length, allowing ample space for shade and making it unique across the region.
Finally at the top, well worth a visit, are the archaeological remains of Eraclea Minoa.
The site, located midway between Agrigento and Sciacca, has recently developed a substantial amount of vacationers and tourists. You should therefore try to avoid the busiest days.
