Moving from Taormina to the north, the coastline is no less fascinating. The beaches that follow all have a charm of their own: like Sant’Alessio Siculo, an old fishing village that shades in the ruins of the Saracen castle from its past. The sandy beach at its foot is not wide, but well equipped. Behind the castle, there is the rocky part of the backdrop where you can go scuba diving and fishing.
A little further north is Santa Teresa Riva overlooking the sea with a nice long black sand beach, within which the beach establishments are interspersed with areas of free use. It’s a bustling location during the summer period; it has developed an excellent range of accommodations, taking advantage of its considerable proximity to Taormina, which is within 15 kilometers from there.
