The resort of Punta Braccetto consists of a sandy beach of fine sand and a rocky coast, a rare example for the whole area, known as the Canalotti.
The beach of Punta Braccetto goes on for a decent stretch of two rocky ridges: on one of them you can still see the remains of an ancient military watch. The beach is prime choice among families and young people as a place to spend a quiet holiday in Sicily, offering both sea and relaxation.
The small town center is set along the only road that continues to the Canalotti, which has cliffs, and coves where the water’s depth drops rapidly, allowing aficionados to snorkel and scuba dive.
Continuing along is reached the beach of Randello, long and primitive, it retains all its naturalness. The rocky ridge that borders it to the south, the open sea, the many shells on the beach and the calm that one can enjoy here is a bit reminiscent of the Californian coastal landscapes.
The Beach of Randello can be reached through the forest of Scoglitti, which usually caters to groups of campers. The beach is devoid of any service so bringing your own umbrella and sunscreen is advisable.
