Beach of Sampieri
The small seaside town of Sampieri has been recording, for some time now, a growing increase in tourism. The small maritime town, fraction of Scicli, is placed between two beautiful sandy beaches which are, every year, the backdrop to summer vacationers, from locals to foreigners alike.
The largest beach on the eastern side is among the longest of all the Ragusan coastline, with nearly 3 kilometers of pristine sand. The smallest instead extends for about 500 meters to the west.
Both beaches are free and well accessible from the center, in a beautiful landscape characterized by sand dunes. In one part of the coast, remains standing, the frame of Fornace Penna a factory, which burned down in 1924, and was used in the past for the production of construction materials.
In the evening Samperi is chosen by young people from the surrounding area to enjoy the night with festivities, organized beach events, music and fun.
