The beaches of San Vito Lo Capo represent something unique, naturalistic excellence in the national and international level. A place that has always preserved the surrounding environment, it still displays itself in complete harmony with the landscapes that surround it.
The beach of San Vito lo Capo has been voted the most beautiful beach of Italy, nestled between the two Natural Reserves (Monte Cofano and Zingaro), it stretches for more than 3 kilometers in a large, sandy shore of fine white sand. The sea takes on different shades of colors, green rather than blue. Its sea bottoms are mixed sand with shell fragments that have little to envy of much acclaimed Caribbean islands
The extensive coastline, usually attended starting in late spring, is perfect for any need: you will find areas of free beach that alternate with excellent resorts.
Anything else we could try to say about the magnificence of place would be useless. Try it and let us know!
On the western side there are two other places that deserve the attention of tourists: Makari and Castelluzzo. Less known than San Vito, they are usually less busy, but are also placed in a spectacular natural setting.
The coast of Makari is sandy and goes on for a few kilometers, picturesquely nestled between rocky ridges.
In Catelluzzo you can enjoy a picturesque pebble beach, right in the middle of the Gulf. The surrounding area is dotted with numerous olive groves and small stations for viewing.
